That's It, I'm Calling it!

I am calling it! a Spade is a Spade and an Ace is an Ace. If it walks like a duck, sounds like a duck, and looks like a duck then it is a duck! I am self diagnosing, proclaiming, and down right accepting that I have a mild case of writers block.

There, I said it! I actually had to hear myself think those dreaded two words and took everything in me to force my fingers into admitting that I have had the worst Writers Block in years. Now, that was more painful to admit then it was for you to read but I just had to come to terms with it and get it off my chest. Sadly its been almost an entire year since I have written, preformed, or created a decent piece.

All hope seems to be lost and I am on my last straw people. I have been down in the dumpy in my thoughts, and in my head. I blame all this technology that has entered my life. Netflix, Netflix, Netflix, DoorDash, DoorDash, Amazon, and more Netflix. Online school books, Ha! what a joke! they are not accessible on my phone so computer it is, which is soo great because now, I have a million and one other tabs, games, and YouTube videos to stream while I try to focus and read.

The system is corrupt people. Down to its very core. "dramatically rocks fist in the air".

Back in the good ol' days before everyone had a cell phone, all I did was read and write, write, and read. now reading and writing have all been turned to screen time. Despite my ability to blame outside factors, it really boils down to my need to focus and urgency to find my zen. It has become my number one priority. Focus means music without words, paper back books, and a regular number two pencil. It means trips to the library, less chill time, and everyday fresh eyes on unfinished poems. It means chiseled time out my busy schedule, a quiet corner, and a cozy chair needs to become my best friend if I ever want to produce anything or get something published. So here on this website join me for my last attempt at redemption. I have created a website and blog to post my poems on throughout the week, mostly on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday but we will see. I am doing an experiment this semester to post complete poems and submerse myself in social media while trying to find my zen without it. Wish me luck and tune in.
