What's Going and What's Staying

Netflix has become a household name. So much so that some question if it will be one of the companies that will put an end to cable.

If you are unfamiliar with Netflix it is a DVD rental and internet-based video-on-demand service.

It has been home to many childhood favorites and popular Netflix original movies and Tv show such as Birdbox and Orange Is the New Black. Some childhood movies that are currently available include Monster House, Josep King of Dreams, Princess and the frog, Tarzan and more.

Childhood Tv shows still available include Charmed, Friends, That 70s Show, Criminal Minds, and a few more.

However, with new Netflix originals and release dates, there are a lot of tv shows and movies that will no longer be available. To add insult to injury some of our favorite tv shows are canceling after just one season. Popular titles that will not return for another season are Aj and the Queen ( one season), "The Good Place" ( four seasons), "Aarow" (eight seasons), and "Bojack Horseman" (Six Seasons). As well as Messiah (one season), The Rain (three seasons), "Anne with an E" and "V-War" (one season).

Why Netflix Cancels Shows

While it hurts to say goodbye to characters we have grown to know and love, we can look forward to seeing the new material Netflix has to offer for 2020. New Tv shows currently available include Self Made staring Octavia Spenser from the classic "The Help" and Tiffiany Hadish from "Girls Trip. As well as, "Tiger King, "I am not okay with this", "Locke & Key", and The Circle. Click the <<<Link Here>>> to see a full list of new tv shows or the picture below.

Aside from new quirky comedies or docu-series making their debut on Netflix, there are other shows getting signed for a new season, Such as "You" coming back for a third season, Ozark for a third season which has several episodes directed by Jason Bateman (the main character), and the Patriot Act will return with Volume Three.

Ozark season three was released on March 27 and has gained some popularity. This series is about a man trying to support his family and get them out of a sticky situation with the Cartel. Terry Gross held an interview with Actor and Director Jason Bateman, whos plays the main character Marter Byrde. I am currently watching the second season of the Netflix original series "You". This seasons' cast includes Victoria Pedretti who starred in 2018s "Haunting of Hill House". Season two is off to a good start and has some unexpected plot twist that has me saddled and ready for season three. So far, the new movies for 2020 are "Kareem and Coffee", starring Ed Helms from "Hangover", "A fall from grace", "To All Boys" and Spenser Confidential featuring Mark Wahlberg( from"The Other Guys"), Winston Duke (from "Black Panther"), and singer-songwriter Post-Malone. Many of these titles have worked their way up to the Top Ten list. Check your count to find any of these shows and tell me what you think.

To make room for these shows, some classics will be leaving Netflix for awhile such as Shawshank Redemption, Hangover, National treasure, Space Jam, and more. Do you think its worth it? Which movie or television should I watch next? and feel free to tell me what series or thriller has caught your attention in the comments below.

As Always, Thanks for reading and Keep Open Ears, Eyes, and Minds, 'Till Next Time.
