What We Hide From

Updated: Mar 17, 2020

We all struggle with something. Some of us struggle with finances, staying focused, communicating, or getting out of our comfort zone. Today, I would like to share a little motivation with a poem title Fear from my Library of Thoughts.

~Fear~

Memories of the past, the present, and what could be

Plague my mind in scattered thoughts and dreams

Stuck in fast forward rewind scenes.

My pain is on display, Seeping out of me.

Succeed or fail
Succeed or Fail

While fear questions my abilities,

Like what can I achieve with this chip on my sleeve?

No room for failure, I must succeed,

Depression
Signs of Depression

But I fear what I can’t see,

Fear the demons after me.

Fear keeps me up second guessing, reminiscing,

contemplating, sanity

Turning mind on itself in an uphill battle.

Yet, trying to convince me

fear is safety, fear is friendly,

While running my cup empty,

‘Till I’m held hostage in my own body.

Stuck, unwilling to move,

My story can’t end here, I refuse!

I’ve fought too many years

Shed oven hot tears,

To lose my grip, I can’t quit.

Fear is self-doubt and a cop-out!

My peace is mine for the taking

With life in the making

Steady calm standing,

Beating drum strike ready.

Head high on my shoulders

Fist balled, teeth bare.

Fear can’t live here!

It denies the strength I possess

So as long as there’s air in my chest,

Fear is an unwelcome guest!

You know your worth and your purpose

Deny fear your focus!

~Fear ~

My struggles with fear drove me to create this short clip and it took weeks of preparations. Mentally and physically, I had to take the time to understand what was holding me back and how I wanted to change that. Fear can really take over a person's mind, hold them captive, and keep them from doing what they want.

However, it all depends on the energy you feed into it. This video was my way of getting over my fear of making my first video, staring in that video, and actually believing I had a message worth hearing. So, for these next two minutes please enjoy my work. Like, Comment, Share, and Keep Open Ears, Eyes, & Mind, See You Next Time!
